A typical pregnancy lasts 40 weeks from the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP) to the birth of the baby. It is divided into three stages, called trimesters: first trimester, second trimester, and third trimester.

 

The fetus undergoes many changes throughout maturation.

Typically, people talks about confinement only during the post-natal. In generic, it should be practiced by all expecting mothers and mothers either during pre-natal and post-natal periods.

Confine means to keep or restrict someone or something within certain limits of (space, scope, or time) for the sake of safety of the loved ones.
